Kefir & Pear Smoothie

Sometimes all you need toΒ get off to an amazing start of yourΒ day is a super green smoothie bowl bursting with vitamins! After your meditation session that is πŸ™‚ If you’ve had a long night out or ate too much in the evening, treat yourself to this easily-digestibleΒ bowl of blended goodness. This is not to say you shouldn’t have this every day!

A little word on kefir

Kefir comes in many forms. It is madeΒ by fermenting goat, cow, sheep, or coconut milk. The latter being the plant-based option! Fermented foods contain probiotic bacteria, which are extremely beneficial for digestion and gut health. As I said: great after a night out!

You’ll need

  • 200g of unsweetened almond milk
  • 100g of coconut kefir
  • 1 peeled lemon
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 15g Sunwarrior protein powder
  • 5 basil leaves
  • 3 leaves of dinosaur kale (no stems)
  • 1 tbsp of hemp seeds

Optional: To top, go for sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, goji berries, coconut flakes etc.

Blend up all the ingredients and you’re good to go! πŸ™‚
