Spinach, Banana and Avocado Smoothie

This smoothie is probably my new obsession. So thick, sweet, and filling! Let’s start blending πŸ™‚

You’ll need

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 (pitted) medjool date
  • 250 ml brown rice milk (other dairy-free milks work, too, but this one is my absolute favourite!)
  • 30g avocado (about 1/4th of a whole)
  • 50g fresh baby spinach
  • 20g Sunwarrior Vegan Protein Powder (optional)


Blend everything up well. You are free to add the superfoods of your choice-think hemp seeds, chia seeds, bee pollen, maca, baobab etc. The reason I did not add any to this smoothie is becauseΒ I believeΒ that less is often better when it comes to shopping for ingredients. There is nothing worse then recipes that require over 20 ingredients, of which 7 are spices you have never heard of. With this 5-ingredient recipe you have no excuse not to try it out, unless, of course, you cannot get your hands on a ripe avocado!

This smoothie is perfect as a light post-workout meal; especially after cardiovascular exercise, my stomach tends toΒ turn at the thought of food. If you are like me, this recipe will be the perfect fit for you!
